Instructions for making a jam sandwich

For today’s writing lesson, the children had to demonstrate and record the steps that are needed to make a jam sandwich.

The children used great concentration skills when spreading the butter and jam onto their bread. It was great to see the children demonstrating good team working and sharing skills, as they had to share the butter, jam, and knife.

They finished off this activity by cutting their sandwiches in half and trying their sandwiches.

Some of the children’s comments:

‘I don’t normally like jam, but I like this one’.

‘Can I have some more?’

‘This is amazing – can we do this again?’
